Royal Rock Stars is a new initiative that will result in a world touring, award winning band and members of the production team coming into your school for a week to work with the pupils who will have the opportunity record a CD and perform in a concert!!  The Project is designed to meet the requirements of Primary Schools to engage every child in social, moral, spiritual and cultural learning. We do this by teaching lively and original songs which should remain with the pupils for years to come!

We aim to cover key areas of the Curriculum for Excellence, including: Literacy, Health and Wellbeing, Expressive Arts, Religious and Moral Education,Technologies and more.  We believe our programme encourages children to take responsibility for learning firstly as individuals and also as part of a group.   As a result, pupils should develop confidence to achieve their goals and become effective contributors in this project.

Royal Rock Stars is a 4 day programme The first 3 days involve learning 5 new songs and some well known favourites.  We will work with 1 class at a time to avoid constant disruption to classes.  On day 4, the children will be treated to a concert by Royal Foundlings,and will  practice the songs they have learned with the live band.  The pupils will then record the songs which will be mixed to produce a CD. One evening the following week, parents, grandparents, and people from the community will be invited to come and see the pupils perform!  The performance can take place in either the school or a local church.

For extra fun the school pupils can design a CD and DVD cover with the favourite, voted by the pupils, being professionally printed on the final product.
