We see music as a key tool in teaching young people skills necessary for becoming more confident, successful learners. We will involve pupils in innovative learning experiences throughout the school for one day, which would typically look like this:
Morning MUSIC WORKSHOPS
~ Pupils are given time to write and perform their own music
~ An opportunity to see Royal Foundlings perform
Afternoon RME CLASSES
~ Pupils can ask the band questions regarding their background, work and faith
We can adapt our programme accordingly in order to suit the needs of each individual school. We are also willing to work with the age group(s) you feel would benefit most. We do not charge a set price for visiting your school but accept any donations offered.
What about Curriculum for Excellence?
The high schools programme has been created in-line with Curriculum for Excellence and can therefore be enjoyed by learners from any culture or faith background. The programme is designed to help schools nurture successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Skills are taught through a number of curriculum areas, including Literacy, Health and Wellbeing, Expressive Arts and Religious and Moral Education. We believe our programme encourages children to take responsibility for learning, both individually and collaboratively.
We would love the opportunity to help young people take time out of their busy lives to focus on what faith means to them and discover skills they didn’t know they had!
